I really love this place. I have pretty extreme anxiety issues (not just surrounding dentistry but in general) and put off going to the dentist for so many years that my teeth were terrible and I felt too embarrassed and hopeless to even start fixing it. A few years ago, I made my first appointment here and Dr. Shiflett and the staff were very understanding and didn’t make me feel judged about the state of my mouth. I’ve had very, very many appointments since then (and with their suggested endodontists and oral surgeons who also did great work) and can smile confidently again and not to have to worry about tooth pain. The dental work I’ve received has all been complication-free and held up very well. They have also been able to see me on very short notice for a couple emergencies, which I appreciated greatly. There might be cheaper options available in Columbus for emergency needs but if you need a consistent, kind and long term dentist whose work you can be confident in, I recommend this place strongly

The hygienists are always wonderful and do a great job with cleanings. I always feel informed on what they are doing and why. The office is clean and feels modern. Dr. Shiflett has done a great job with my nightguard and spacer and my TMJ discomfort has been very well managed! I also needed my first filling ever at Schiflett and the whole process was made far less intimidating by Dr. Shiflett and his staff. I’m really happy with this practice.

Everyone at Shifflett is very kind and professional, and they made sure we knew what our insurance covered and didn't try to upsell things like fluoride treatments which were not covered. I've been here twice for cleanings now and have been very impressed by their service and friendly environment. One of the dental hygienists was out sick for my appointment yesterday, and Dr. Shifflett filled in for her to make sure customers could still be treated in a timely manner, even though it meant doing the cleanings himself.

I had a wonderful experience at Shiflett Family Dental. The staff was friendly and professional, and the office was very clean. Dr. Shiflett was fantastic, explaining everything clearly and making me feel comfortable. Scheduling was easy, and there was minimal wait time. I highly recommend this dental office!

I’m the third generation to have exclusively went to Dr. Ralston. Now Dr. Shiflett has taken over the practice and the practice is just as it used to be, even down to the famous treasure chest I loved as a child. Hands down the best in Columbus and I will continue to go here for years to come.

Well, it happened- Dr. Steve Ralston retired, and Sandy too. I had a visit with the new owner, Dr. Shiflett, and it was great! What a relief. I know Dr. Ralston looked hard at prospective buyers trying to find someone who is as caring and personable (and talented) as he is, and it looks like Dr. Shiflett is the guy. Definitely sticking with this practice.
